Malaysia's troops kill 13 soldiers of Sulu

Malaysia's security apparatus said yesterday they had killed 13 soldiers in Sulu of the Philippines from the State of Sabah. The attack occurred a day after Malaysia sent a fighter jet aircraft, mortars, and hundreds of troops to the conflict.

The clash of weapons during the three last weekend that started since around 200 armed men set sail from the southern Philippines to Sabah to claim back territory in the North of the island of Borneo after the agreement for hundreds of years.

At least 40 people have been killed in clashes between security forces and armed forces that Malaysia. A group of followers of the Sultanate of Sulu was also killed eight policemen, as reported by Malaysia newspapers the Wall Street Journal, Thursday (7/3).

Defence Minister Zahid Hamidi told Malaysia reporters, it will likely be many more discovered the corpses of the Sulu archipelago.

"The Security Authorities are searching for traces of their movements and will take decisive action," said Malaysia's national police chief Ismail Omar.

It makes the relationship conflict and Malaysia the Philippines is getting heated up.

A number of analysts say the conflict will have an impact for Prime Minister Najib Razak in Malaysia's general election will be held next June.
